LvivJS is a conference organized as a part of the independent Ukrainian Front-end Developers movement, took place on August 26 in Lviv. The successful experience of CityJS conference, which took place in 2012, in Kyiv, paved the way for organizing a conference of the similar format in regions. Lviv was the second place receiving such an event after Kharkiv with its regional conference. This year’s LvivJS was the fifth such event to receive over 380 participants. WebbyLab’s team of developers also took part in the event. The event’s mood was absolutely positive. “Conference was awesome! A whole lot of positive impressions. I believe it has been the best IT-get-together recently!” – our Full stack developer Sergey Podgorniy shares. “I’d like to notice that the web-security questions were regarded with a significant amount of attention. Especially memorable was Asim Hussain’s “How to hack a node app?” report. In it, the author considered not only the common, widespread weak points but also the ones related to back-end realized via NodeJS framework. Risks while using open-source libraries for an implementation of production environment solutions were also closely regarded. I’d also like to note a high level of organization, plenty of presents and giveaways, and even the coding challenge where one could test their skills in Lodash library usage” – our React/Node.JS developer – Yuriy Vlasiuk notes. Being a regular participant of LvivJS, WebbyLab would like to thank the conference’s organizers for a high level of preparation, interesting reports, and an excellent opportunity to share experience and expert knowledge.
