Junior/Trainee QA Engineer
WebbyLab is a Ukrainian IT outsourcing company. We develop scalable and feature-rich Web and Mobile applications using NodeJs, React, React Native, PHP stack. We have successfully completed projects for Daimler Mercedes-Benz, Bayer, Pfizer, Uber, Ezlo, etc.

We are looking for a Junior/Trainee QA Engineer who has a solid understanding of software testing principles and a strong desire to grow in this field. We are open to candidates with no commercial experience – completed courses or pet projects that demonstrate a practical skillset will be sufficient. The first stage of the selection process will be a test assignment to help us evaluate your testing approach, attention to detail, and basic technical knowledge. We are ready to provide training, support, and mentorship as you grow professionally within a team of experienced specialists.
Your skill set:
- Completed courses or pet projects demonstrating a skill level comparable to commercial experience;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deeply understand a product and anticipate various user interaction scenarios;
- Understanding of programming fundamentals;
- Confident use of the Linux command line;
- Basic understanding of Docker;
- Ability to set up and test a project locally;
- Ability to read and analyze technical logs;
- Proficiency with Git;
- Upper-Intermediate level of English.
Would be a plus:
- Experience testing APIs using Postman or Swagger;
- Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to write simple queries (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN).
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain test documentation (checklists, test cases, bug reports);
- Perform manual testing (functional, regression, cross-platform);
- Ensure adherence to internal quality standards, report test results, and track defects;
- Conduct API testing using Postman, Swagger;
- Analyze product requirements.
