IT Business Analyst

WebbyLab is a Ukrainian IT outsourcing company. We develop scalable and feature-rich Web and Mobile applications using Node.js, React.js, React Native, PHP stack. We have successfully completed projects for Daimler Mercedes-Benz, Bayer, Pfizer, Uber, Ezlo, etc.

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst – a communication-driven specialist with strong analytical thinking and solid problem-solving skills. We expect you to quickly dive into different projects, analyze existing solutions and processes, gather and formalize requirements, and create high-quality analytical artifacts that speed up development and reduce rework.

Your skill set:

• 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst;
• Thorough understanding of Agile principles, Scrum methodology, and business values;
• Experience in pre-sales activities and discovery phases;
• Strong skills in gathering and eliciting requirements using BA techniques (interviews, questionnaires, prototyping, document analysis, etc.);
• Experience in writing documentation (User Stories, Use Cases, etc.);
• Good knowledge of requirements management and task tracking tools (Jira, visualization tools, Google Analytics);
• Proactivity, responsibility, self-discipline, analytical mindset, strong communication and presentation skills, and a result-oriented approach;
• High level of spoken English.

Would be a plus:

• Technical background (QA / UI/UX / Software Development);
• Basic knowledge of software architecture;
• Understanding of how APIs work and experience in preparing/maintaining API documentation.

Your responsibilities:

• Facilitating technical requirement negotiations between project stakeholders;
• Participating in discovery phases: gathering, analyzing, and formalizing requirements, aligning scope, and documenting agreements;
• Participating in pre-sales activities (requirements clarification, preparing materials, identifying risks/assumptions, supporting estimation);
• Preparing analytical artifacts and technical documentation (User Stories, Use Cases, etc.);
• Preparing and maintaining API documentation (when needed, together with the technical team);
• Developing and implementing new systems and processes to improve the current workflow;
• Preparing reports for management;
• Researching the market and competitors within a specific project/request;
• Identifying potential risks and proactively suggesting solutions.
