Practical application of AI in software development

Last week at WebbyLab, we held an internal workshop for one of our teams, led by Viktor Turskyi. The session focused on the practical application of artificial intelligence in software development.

We explored real-world AI use cases from a multi-million user product: where it genuinely helps in development, where it can get in the way, and what risks to keep in mind. We also dove into architectural approaches for organizing codebases and how they impact AI effectiveness.

The main focus was on architecture. It wasn’t a discussion about tools or prompt engineering – it was about structuring tasks and codebases so AI agents can be truly useful in development.
