With the rapid development and implementation of workflow automation technologies, there is a growing need for specialists who can analyze and structure disparate data and requests from a partner into a clear list of functional requirements for a finished product. All these functions are combined into the role of a business analyst.

A business analyst is one of the key roles in a software development project. This role requires a specialist to combine an understanding of the business, the specifics of the IT team’s work with the ability to work with data and queries, structure and analyze them.
Business analysts can work in a variety of companies, from startups to large corporations, where they are responsible for collecting and analyzing user requirements, developing business strategies, and solving problems related to data collection and processing.

The uniqueness of this role for the project is that the business analyst knows not only the software development side, but also combines it with an understanding of business processes and customer problems. They help to understand which software functions are needed to meet a particular user needs and determine which functions should be realized and agree on the priority of implementing functions to create a working version of the product.

This role can be both on the customer’s side and on the side of the service company. But here at Webbylab, we can cover this role on our own, as we did in such products as: Loyalno, PIM, MHP eCommerce portal.
